Details
Year One is a comedic adventure film set in prehistoric times. Zed, a would-be hunter, eats from a forbidden fruit tree and is banished from his tribe along with Oh, a shy gatherer. Together, they embark on a journey that takes them through a series of hilarious and unexpected encounters.
Along the way, Zed and Oh meet biblical figures such as Cain and Abel, witness Abraham's attempt to sacrifice his son Isaac, and eventually find themselves enslaved in the city of Sodom, where their tribe has been captured. Determined to save the women they love, Maya and Eema, Zed and Oh face obstacles in the form of Sodom's high priest and the ever-present Cain.
In their quest, Zed attempts to form an alliance with Princess Innana, but this plan may backfire and complicate their mission further. Can these two unlikely heroes, with their contrasting strengths and weaknesses, rise to the occasion and make a difference?
