Keith Michaels, a once-successful Hollywood screenwriter, finds himself facing rejection after winning an Academy Award for his screenplay Paradise Misplaced. In desperate need of a breakthrough, Keith is forced to take a teaching job, something he despises. He is assigned to a small college located far from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, and this opportunity could potentially lead him to a new life.
As Keith reluctantly settles into his new role as a professor, he finds himself surrounded by quirky and eager students, each with their own personal struggles.
