Details
The Guardian (2006) is an intense action drama that follows the story of Ben Randall, a seasoned Coast Guard rescue swimmer. After a tragic accident claims the lives of his crew and his marriage falls apart, Ben's commanding officer suggests that he train future rescue swimmers at the US Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer A School.
During his training, Ben meets Jake, a former swim champion who is initially arrogant and overconfident. Determined to weed out the weak and ensure only the best become rescue swimmers, Ben puts Jake through rigorous tests and challenges to see if he has what it takes to handle the demanding and dangerous job.
As the two men bond and forge a mentor-student relationship, Jake begins to understand the gravity of the responsibilities that come with being a rescue swimmer. Together, they face numerous obstacles and life-threatening situations, showcasing the uncompromising dedication and selflessness of these brave individuals.
