In the romantic comedy film, Something Borrowed, Rachel, a shy lawyer, falls for Dex, a fellow law student from an affluent background. However, Rachel never confesses her feelings for him, resulting in Dex getting together with her best friend, Darcy, who often mistreats Rachel. Dex and Darcy eventually become engaged, with Rachel reluctantly agreeing to be Darcy's Maid of Honor.
