In Monster High: Flykten från Dödskallestranden (2012), it's Spring Break at Monster High and Lagoona decides to take her friends on a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. But their adventure takes a dangerous turn when their ship wrecks and leads them to a mysterious skull-shaped island.
Once on the island, the group of friends is welcomed by the locals, but they soon discover that they are being manipulated by a sneaky showman named Farnum. Farnum plans to use them to attract the rarest and most mysterious monster of them all, the Beast. However, things take a surprising turn when Frankie gets captured by the Beast but manages to reverse the situation and ends up saving him.
With the Beast by her side, Frankie returns to Monster High, and the story takes a thrilling twist. It becomes apparent that Frankie unintentionally awakened a powerful electric force within the Beast, which could potentially endanger the safety of the school.
