Hotell Gyllene Knorren - Filmen (2011) follows the Rantanen family and their attempts to save their struggling hotel, the Golden black grouse. With the hotel completely empty, Ritva, the mother, decides to grow organic vegetables to attract guests. However, their plans are disrupted when Ingo, their son's minipig, eats all the vegetables. This angers both Ritva and Roger, the father, who seem to disregard Ingo and Pyret, the minipig.
Ingo discovers that a nearby hotel is organizing an agility competition with a substantial cash prize. He sees this as an opportunity to make his family proud and save the hotel. Ingo decides to enter Pyret, hoping to win the competition and use the prize money to cover his father's failed business ventures.
However, Ingo and Pyret face many obstacles along the way, both on and off the racetrack. It becomes a test of courage, perseverance, and teamwork as they navigate the competition and strive for success. Will Ingo and Pyret manage to overcome these challenges and become the heroes they aspire to be?
