In the movie Diagnosis Delicious, Chef Dave Oberlin's career takes a nosedive when a video of his altercation with a renowned food critic goes viral. Deemed a liability by elite restaurants, Dave finds himself without job prospects and is reluctantly forced to take a teaching position at a culinary arts school owned by his friend. Meanwhile, cardiologist Dr. Nina Kirby is vying for a promotion at the local hospital, and the Head of Cardiology offers her a chance to secure it: get Dave on board to teach Healthy Living seminars. The catch is that Nina can't cook and has no interest in learning.
After some persuasion from her best friend and coworker, Olivia, Nina reluctantly agrees to take Dave's class. However, Dave is uninterested in working with her as she lacks class participation. In an effort to sway him, Nina discovers a surprising common interest with Dave, bringing them closer together.
