Details
In the 1977 movie Capricorn One, astronaut Charles Brubaker is chosen to lead NASA's groundbreaking mission to Mars. However, moments before the launch, Brubaker and his team are unexpectedly pulled from the capsule, leaving the rocket unmanned and Brubaker furious.
The head of the program reveals that the life support system on the capsule was faulty, and NASA cannot afford the negative publicity from a failed mission. Instead, they devise a plan to fake the Mars landing and keep the astronauts at a secluded base until the mission is supposed to end.
Enter Robert Caulfield, an investigative journalist who begins to suspect that something is not right. As he delves deeper into the story, Caulfield uncovers a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government and endangers the lives of the astronauts.
As Caulfield fights to expose the truth, he faces numerous challenges and dangerous obstacles. Along the way, he must navigate a web of deception, corruption, and cover-ups to uncover the real reason behind the fake Mars landing.
